ClearScholar Announces Indiana State University As Partner Institution
INDIANAPOLIS August 22, 2017 – ClearScholar, a leading mobile student safety and engagement solution, announced that Indiana State University licensed its platform for the 2017-2018 school year. ClearScholar will deploy the ClearScholar Engage platform at Indiana State University to play a key role in Indiana State University’s Fall 2017 Growth Mindset Intervention Project. This project uses an app focused on engaging first-year students in intentional ways that allow for the students to be involved with the services and guidance offered at Indiana State.
“Indiana State University is a thriving institution that has a significant amount of opportunity in the coming years to continue to differentiate itself as well as drive student success. This project will allow us to gain research-backed evidence of the efficacy of the ClearScholar Engage Platform,” said Josh Williams, Vice President of Partnerships at ClearScholar.
The ClearScholar Align functionality, which is part of the ClearScholar Engage Platform, will provide Indiana State University with a tool to make its institutional research and data science initiatives more actionable as well as test the specific proposed social-psychological intervention within the study. ClearScholar will help by leveraging predictive analytics into personas within ClearScholar and pushing content that promotes the necessary and proven resources and behaviors for achievement to these groups. Initially, the rollout at Indiana State University will be narrowly focused on first-year students with plans to grow that audience for the 2018-2019 school year.
Joshua Powers, Ph.D., Associate Vice President for Student Success at Indiana State University shared his thoughts on the project and the role of ClearScholar, “ClearScholar’s functionality and approach is uniquely suited to our desire to customize student engagement. The ability to easily create various personas within the ClearScholar platform is allowing our team to execute first of its kind research around the efficacy of both engaging with students on a mobile application as well as social-psychological intervention. We are dedicated to student success at Indiana State University and projects like this alongside our work that is supported by the First in the World Grant allow us to leverage and test technology tools that drive student achievement and engagement. Our team will be closely monitoring the results of this project and determining expansion plans based on the success.”
